Buddhachinaraj Hospital Phitsanulok in Thailand needed a more efficient way to manage smooth internal communication for more than 1,000 users, while also preparing to expand capacity for an additional 2,000 users. Its aging PABX system was costly to upgrade, and the hospital needed a solution that fit a limited budget and could support a gradual transition to newer technology. Zyxel’s VoIP-capable IES-6000M and VOP1248G-61 products were evaluated to meet these needs.

Zyxel implemented a parallel VoIP system using three IES-6000M MSAN devices and 42 VOP1248G-61 VoIP line cards, allowing the hospital to divide lines by department and maintain reliable communications without disruption. The result was smoother internal calling, support for future expansion, and telephone costs cut by 50% from about THB 100,000 per month, freeing budget for other projects.
