Zyxel Connects Belgian Brewery IT Network with Bottling Plant

De Halve Maan Brewery, a family-owned Belgian brewery in Bruges, needed to replace a slow, unreliable legacy network that was split between the brewery and its bottling plant. The separate systems and unstable VPN connections made work less efficient, while some of the cabling was so old that its layout was no longer clearly understood. Zyxel’s Nebula cloud networking solution was brought in to modernize the infrastructure.

Zyxel implemented a redesigned network using fiber-optic cabling, Nebula-managed access points, PoE switches, and security gateways, with centralized cloud management and zero-touch deployment. The rollout was completed in less than four days, improved security and reliability, and unified both sites onto one faster network. A Zyxel firewall also provided automatic failover between two ISPs, supporting always-on connectivity and helping De Halve Maan run beer production 24/7.
