Turkish University Ramps Up Internet Performance with ZyXEL’s Solutions

Nigde University in Turkey needed a fast, secure, and scalable wireless network to serve more than 15,000 students, faculty, and staff across a large campus with many buildings, dormitories, guest houses, and outdoor areas. To meet these demands, the university worked with Zyxel to modernize its WLAN infrastructure with business access points and wireless LAN controllers.

Zyxel implemented 185 NWA3560-N indoor access points, NWA3550-N outdoor access points, and NXC5200 wireless LAN controllers to centrally manage the network, support secure access for student, staff, and guest users, and enable roaming with eduroam and local RADIUS authentication. As a result, Nigde University now provides wireless coverage across more than 100 campus locations and all major facilities, with improved performance, centralized control, and a flexible platform for future expansion.
