A Zyxel Case Study
Theological Institute of Assisi, a historic education institution housed in an 800-year-old friary in Assisi, needed to add secure wireless coverage across two floors without damaging the building’s artistic and architectural heritage. Zyxel provided a network design built around unified access points, a wireless LAN controller, smart managed PoE switches, a unified access gateway, and a next-gen security gateway.
Zyxel implemented 10 compact NWA5121-NI access points managed by an NXC2500 controller, along with GS1900-8HP switches, a UAG2100 for user authentication, and a USG110 for unified threat management. The result was reliable Wi‑Fi access for students and faculty on two VLANs, strong security, easier account management, and a low-visibility deployment that was simple to install, maintain, and manage.
