Case Study: Hotel Inselmühle achieves seamless hotel-wide WLAN coverage with Zyxel solutions

The Munich Hotel “Inselmühle” Choses MNG Networks and the ZyXEL WLAN Solutions

Hotel Inselmühle, a 4-star family and business hotel in Munich, needed a new WLAN solution when its existing contract ended. The hotel wanted full wireless coverage throughout its historic 15th-century building, along with simpler guest access management and more flexible service terms. Vendor Zyxel, working through local system integrator MNG Networks, was selected to address the challenge posed by the building’s extremely thick walls.

Zyxel and MNG Networks implemented a network built around Zyxel IP DSLAM, WLAN, firewall, and gateway equipment, including the ZyXEL G-4100v2, ZyWALL 2 Plus, P-660HW-D1, P-793H, IES-1000M, and AAM1212-51. The result was complete hotel-wide WLAN coverage with faster setup, easier password and username printing, and simpler ongoing maintenance for staff. Zyxel’s solution also enabled automatic data retention handling and reduced service calls, eliminating the need for additional cabling during installation.
