To meet this challenge, Sunrise selected Zyxel’s WAP5605 5-GHz Wireless N Media Streaming Box for residential IPTV use.
Zyxel implemented a plug-and-play wireless media streaming solution using the WAP5605 in AP/client mode, with video-grade QoS, SmartRange technology, and 5-GHz-only transmission to improve HD streaming performance. The result was robust whole-home IPTV delivery with fewer wiring and engineering costs, helping Sunrise provide smoother HD TV service and a better customer experience across its large subscriber base.
