State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services - Customer Case Study

The State of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) needed a turnkey video surveillance and monitoring solution for 12 state-supported living centers across Texas, each with very different campus layouts. Working with Knight Security, Zyxel provided the networking foundation for the project, including PoE switches, layer 3 switches, a unified security gateway, and ProEMS network monitoring and management.

Zyxel’s solution enabled centralized control and monitoring of thousands of cameras and network devices across all campuses, while supporting reliable video surveillance, secure VPN connectivity, and scalable expansion. By using a single-vendor networking stack, Zyxel helped reduce deployment complexity and lower total cost, while improving safety, security, and operational efficiency through centralized management.
