Research University Makes the Grade with Wired and Wireless Network Solution from Zyxel

IUAC (Inter-University Accelerator Centre), a research university in India, needed to replace a legacy campus network plagued by poor wireless connectivity, scattered standalone internet links, no centralized WiFi management, no roaming, weak security, and limited redundancy. Zyxel was selected to deliver a wired and wireless networking solution, including a wireless LAN controller, 802.11ac access points, and gigabit switches to support about 500 users across indoor and outdoor campus areas.

Zyxel implemented a controller-based, centrally managed WLAN using the NXC5500 Wireless LAN Controller, WAC6103D-I indoor APs, WAC6553D-E outdoor APs, and GS2210/MGS3520 switches. The result was secure, stable gigabit WiFi with seamless roaming, centralized policy control, load balancing, and scalable coverage for the campus. IUAC reported that Zyxel’s solution and partner support helped them overcome their networking challenges and manage the network with ease.
