Premier Indian Broadband Provider Gets Optical Upgrade with Zyxel GPON Solution

GTPL Hathway, a premier Indian cable and broadband provider, needed to strengthen its access network security and reliability while supporting faster bi-directional bandwidth and better service for large enterprise customers. To overcome limitations of its existing point-to-point architecture and deliver on higher-speed plans, GTPL Hathway turned to Zyxel and its GPON solution.

Zyxel implemented a fiber-based GPON network centered on the OLT2406 and OLT1408A, along with PMG5317-T20A and PMG1005-T20A ONTs and NetAtlas EMS for centralized management. The new setup delivered speeds of over 80 Mbps, improved security and reliability, added redundancy for higher availability, and enabled easier monitoring and error detection across the network.
