Mountfield Hockey Club - Customer Case Study

Mountfield Hockey Club, a professional ice hockey club in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, needed to modernize the outdated network across its ice rink, offices, dressing rooms, and on-site hotel. Working with Zyxel, the club sought a reliable WAN/LAN infrastructure, full Wi‑Fi coverage, strong security, and a solution that could be expanded easily and affordably.

Zyxel implemented a unified network using NWA3160-N and NWA5121-N access points, a GS2200-24P PoE switch, an NXC2500 wireless LAN controller, and a ZyWALL 310 VPN firewall. The result was reliable wireless coverage throughout the hall, offices, dressing rooms, and hotel, plus centralized remote administration and VLAN-based network separation. The upgraded infrastructure now supports a wide range of devices and was deployed in about a month, with no specific numeric performance gains reported.
