Modern and Secure Wi-Fi Network for the British International School Bratislava

British International School Bratislava, part of the Nord Anglia Education group, needed a fast, secure, and easy-to-manage Wi‑Fi network for students, teachers, staff, and public visitors across the school campus. The school wanted different access rights for different user groups, strong protection against threats, and coverage throughout the premises with support for both modern and legacy devices. Zyxel provided a centralized wireless networking solution based on the NXC5200 controller, GS-1500-24P switches, and NWA-5160 access points.

Zyxel implemented a centrally managed Wi‑Fi system that could handle roaming, user authentication, encryption, and web-based access control, with 12 NWA5160N access points powered via PoE for simpler installation. The result was a secure, high-quality wireless network available throughout the school, with smooth roaming between access points, minimal maintenance, and reduced installation complexity and costs. The school reported being highly satisfied with the solution and Zyxel’s support during setup and configuration.
