Ministry of Sound Boosts Network Resilience with ZyXEL Switching Solution

Ministry of Sound, the entertainment brand behind London’s iconic nightclub, needed to modernize its network to support cloud-based work, richer data applications, stronger port security, and faster connectivity. Working with Zyxel, the company set out to add a 10Gb storage network, improve resilience, and upgrade end-device bandwidth from 100Mbps to 1Gbps.

Zyxel implemented a centralized switching solution using GS2210-24HP 24-port Gigabit L2 PoE switches and XS1920-12 10 Gigabit smart managed switches, tied together through the MM7201 modular switch for simpler centralized control. The result was a more resilient, higher-performance network that delivered 10G connectivity for storage and virtual servers, separate office and nightclub LANs, improved security and troubleshooting, and better overall reliability and bandwidth for users and media-heavy operations.
