Majestic Grande Hotel Bangkok Deploys ZyXEL Hospitality Solution

Majestic Grande Hotel in Bangkok, a 26-storey 4-star hospitality property, needed to replace an unreliable HomePNA-based wired and wireless network that caused frequent guest complaints, room changes, and poor Internet access. With limited IT staff and a need for centralized management, security, and future scalability, the hotel turned to Zyxel for a hospitality networking solution including managed switches, a wireless LAN controller, and managed access points.

Zyxel implemented a combined wired and wireless deployment using the XGS-4526 core switch, GS2200 managed switches, NXC5200 wireless LAN controller, and NWA5160N access points. The new system improved hotel image and service stability, enabled centralized monitoring and faster troubleshooting, added firewall/anti-virus/IDP protection, and allowed bandwidth to be managed more efficiently to reduce abuse and congestion.
