Lodz University of Technology - Customer Case Study

Lodz University of Technology, one of Poland’s largest technical universities, needed to improve network efficiency while preventing unauthorized access and outside attacks on its new calculation infrastructure. Zyxel supported the university’s Department of Semiconductor and Optoelectronics as it upgraded its fiber network, using security and VPN solutions to strengthen protection and remote access.

Zyxel implemented the ZyWALL 110 VPN Firewall and ZyWALL IPSec VPN Client, replacing older gateways and enabling secure IPSec access for calculation staff. The upgrade was completed in one week and improved infrastructure efficiency nearly fourfold, while also significantly reducing the risk of outside penetration through stronger authentication and encryption.
