Italy’s Sogedim Chooses ZyXEL to Expand Wireless Coverage for Its Logistics Operations

Sogedim, a logistics transport company operating across Europe, needed to consolidate and extend its network infrastructure at its 35,000-square-meter site near Milan. The company wanted to improve reliability and performance while adding both wired office connectivity and wireless coverage for warehouses and remote areas, serving employees and customers. Zyxel provided the networking technology, including a wireless LAN controller, business access points, and a next-generation security gateway.

Zyxel implemented a centrally managed WLAN built around the NXC2500 wireless LAN controller, NWA3160-N and NWA5000 Series access points, and a USG210 security gateway, with support from partner ROASI Boffalora. The new design improved Wi-Fi coverage across large warehouse spaces, simplified setup and ongoing management, and enabled separate access policies for staff and customers. As a result, user reconfiguration time was significantly reduced and the network was made easier to expand for future needs.
