Italian Hotel’s Network Upgrade Earns Raves for ZyXEL Wireless Solution

Hotel Luise Riva del Garda, one of the largest family hotels in Trentino, Italy, needed to replace an unreliable mixed-brand wireless setup that was causing poor coverage, service issues, and negative guest reviews. Working with Zyxel, the hotel also wanted to create separate network tiers for staff, surveillance, and guests while improving wireless accessibility across the property.

Zyxel and local partner Tecnoprogress implemented a new infrastructure using Zyxel NWA5121-N unified access points, an NXC2500 wireless LAN controller, and GS1910-24HP PoE+ switches. The solution delivered stronger Wi-Fi coverage, simplified management, and VLAN-based segmentation for employees, video surveillance, and guests; each access point supported up to 30 simultaneous users. As a result, wireless service became one of the hotel’s strengths, installation was easy, and staff gained better access to internal resources and camera systems.
