Italian Children’s Charity Connects with Wireless Solution Supported by ZyXEL

House of Oz, an Italian non-profit charity in Torino that supports children with serious diseases and their families, needed a secure and stable wireless network for its new Store of Oz building. The organization wanted free guest Internet access, internal connectivity for staff, and easy network management across common areas, meeting rooms, and hospitality spaces. Zyxel provided a hospitality-focused wireless solution including business access points, a wireless LAN controller, switching, and a unified security gateway.

Zyxel implemented a network built around 8 NWA3160-N access points managed by an NXC2500 Wireless LAN Controller, with a GS1900 managed switch, a USG310 firewall, and an NSA320S log server. The result was full wireless coverage with mobility features, separate VLANs for staff and guests, and secure free Internet access for visitors. The solution is also future-proof, allowing House of Oz to expand the network as new areas are added.
