Institut International Notre-Dame du Lac (NDL), a prestigious private school in Cologny, Switzerland, needed a major network upgrade to support students and faculty using tablets and modern notebooks. Its existing Wi-Fi and LAN setup could not handle growing traffic, and the school’s large historic buildings made new cabling difficult, so it turned to Zyxel for a future-proof wireless solution.

Zyxel implemented a centralized WLAN environment using WAC6502D-E 802.11ac dual-radio access points, an NXC2500 wireless LAN controller, and smart-managed switches from the XS1920 and GS1920 series. The new design improved performance, scalability, and coverage while minimizing impact on the building structure, giving the school stable wireless service for classrooms and peripherals with bandwidth up to 1.2 Gbps and support for weak client signals.
