Indian ISP Upgrades to ZyXEL GEPON Solution

ANI Network, a fast-growing fixed wireless broadband provider in Delhi and the NCR, needed a more scalable and cost-effective way to expand its service footprint beyond the limits of its existing switched network. The company was looking for a solution that would simplify maintenance, eliminate power and UPS provisioning issues, reduce rack complexity, and deliver high ROI with lower TCO, while also offering local support. Zyxel proposed a GEPON FTTx approach using the ONU-6100B-21 and OLT-1308S-22.

Zyxel implemented a passive optical network solution that extended ANI Network’s connectivity from the distribution point to the last mile without the need for power cabling or expensive copper deployment. The new gigabit-based network improved service delivery and management, provided a quick return on investment, and gave ANI Network a future-proof platform that can scale bandwidth by upgrading electronics over the same single-mode fiber.
