A Zyxel Case Study
Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College (BBSBEC) in Fatehgarh Sahib, India, needed a reliable wired and wireless upgrade after its existing access points caused frequent outages, poor coverage, limited user capacity, and weak security. The college also wanted a cost-effective solution that could be delivered quickly, work with legacy hardware, and be backed by local sales and support. Zyxel was selected for its strong price-to-performance reputation and support, with the NWA1100-NH 802.11 b/g/n Long Range PoE Access Point as the key product used.
Zyxel deployed NWA1100-NH access points across key campus areas including staff rooms, the library, labs, workshops, and classrooms. The solution improved wireless coverage through high output power, supported faster 802.11n connectivity for large files and video, and strengthened network security with WPA2 Enterprise and traffic controls. BBSBEC reported smoother deployment, seamless integration with the existing environment, dependable support, and an excellent return on investment, while the new Wi-Fi network significantly improved overall campus performance.
