India Cable MSO Provides High-Speed Broadband Service with Zyxel GPON E2E Solution

Cable Vision, a South India cable MSO, needed a way to bring high-speed broadband and triple-play services to rural and semi-urban areas while cutting the labor, management, and TCO burden of its legacy switch-based network. To support growing demand for voice, video, and data, the company turned to Zyxel and its GPON end-to-end solution, including an OLT, ONT, and home router platform.

Zyxel implemented a centralized GPON FTTH network built around the OLT2406 chassis, PMG1005-T20A ONT, and NBG418N v2 router, enabling efficient remote management, better performance monitoring, and scalable service delivery. The deployment supported an initial phase of 250+ subscribers with 50 Mbps down/50 Mbps up service and future expansion to more than 1,000 subscribers, while also reducing power and operating costs and improving overall maintainability.
