Implementation of an ADSL Internet Connection for Corporate and Private Clients

Energoaqua, a Czech energy and water utility serving an industrial park and nearby households in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, needed to replace an outdated dial-up/legacy connection with a faster, higher-quality ADSL service for corporate and private clients. To expand its telecommunications portfolio, the company worked with Zyxel and its partner SYNERGY to evaluate a broadband solution that could run over existing telephone lines.

Zyxel implemented an IES-2500 IP DSLAM solution, with Zyxel P-660R terminals, to deliver ADSL service over Energoaqua’s own local loop infrastructure. The pilot connected 24 households and companies, was installed in just two days, and cost under 200,000 CZK including end-user equipment. The result was a scalable, easy-to-manage, and cost-effective platform that improved service quality, enabled future expansion, and supported combined Internet, voice, and other services.
