Hotel Deploys Wireless Network Solution to Connect Guests and Staff while Preserving Historic Structures
The Salutation Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Kent, needed to upgrade its wireless infrastructure to provide reliable connectivity for guests and staff across a Grade I listed property with thick walls, multiple buildings, and strict preservation rules. Working with Zyxel, the hotel looked for a cloud-managed networking solution that could improve coverage, separate guest and staff networks, and support future growth.
Zyxel implemented a Nebula cloud-managed network with PoE switches, Nebula access points, and VDSL routers, deploying 20 APs discreetly throughout the estate. The result was strong, fast WiFi across the hotel, gardens, and outbuildings, secure VLAN-based separation of networks, and centralized remote management through Nebula Control Centre. The new setup also enabled services such as POS, smart TVs, WiFi calling, and VoIP, giving The Salutation a scalable, future-proof network.
