Homesick Students Connect with Family and Friends via ZyXEL Wi-Fi Solution

Han Student Housing, a student dormitory provider in Istanbul, Turkey, needed to deliver fast, stable, and secure wireless internet across a large building with many floors and rooms, where the architecture was not originally designed for wireless infrastructure and many students would be connecting at once. Vendor Zyxel provided a WLAN-based solution including a Wireless LAN Controller, 802.11ac Smart Antenna access points, a Unified Access Gateway, and a managed switch to address these connectivity challenges.

Zyxel implemented a network built around 25 WAC6502D-S access points centrally managed by an NXC2500 Smart WLAN Controller, with a UAG4100 used to provide hotspot access in the restaurant area and support guest authentication. The project was completed in just two days, delivering seamless high-speed connectivity and strong user satisfaction, with Han Student Housing reporting that the Zyxel solution represented a major step forward for its service.
