A Zyxel Case Study
Uffizi Gallery, the historic art museum in Florence, needed a wired and wireless network that would have minimal visual impact on its 400-year-old building while delivering secure, reliable connectivity across nearly 13,000 square meters. Working with Zyxel, the museum sought a future-proof solution to support a new mobile app experience for visitors and replace its outdated audio-guide system.
Zyxel implemented 70 NWA5123-NI unified access points, controlled by an NXC5500 wireless LAN controller, along with GS3712F and GS2210-48HP GbE L2 switches and a USG1900 security gateway. The result was full coverage throughout the gallery, easier network management, improved security, and a more enjoyable, educational visitor experience, while also reducing museum management and maintenance costs and enabling future expansion.
