Helping Out the Helpers Non-Profit Organization KFI Gets Multi-location Telecommunications System Upgrade from ZyXEL Communications

KFI Organization, a Maine-based provider serving people with disabilities, needed to modernize its telecommunications setup as it expanded across three sites. The organization wanted a secure way to connect voice and data traffic while also reducing telecom costs, and turned to Zyxel for help with its USG100 Unified Security Gateway.

Zyxel implemented USG100 devices to link the three KFI offices over secure site-to-site VPNs, with voice traffic prioritized for better call quality. The new Panasonic phone system and upgraded network were reported to work flawlessly, and the solution was expected to save KFI about $1,500 per year while improving secure connectivity across all locations.
