EarthLink, a U.S. broadband service provider, needed a cost-effective way to deliver differentiated high-speed service over leased network infrastructure while keeping setup simple and support costs low. To meet this challenge, EarthLink partnered with Zyxel and used the P660R series ADSL2+ routers and Powerline adapters to support easy home connectivity.

Zyxel implemented the P660R compact series with ADSL2+ access, UPnP support, zero configuration, and SPI firewall protection, along with Zyxel Powerline products for plug-and-play home networking. The result was faster customer self-installation, improved reliability and performance, and a stronger connected-home offering; over seven years, EarthLink shipped more than 750,000 Zyxel routers.
