Dutch Hotel Chain Meets Customer’s Wireless Needs with ZyXEL Solution

Bastion Hotels, a Dutch hospitality chain with 31 properties across the Netherlands, needed a stable, easy-to-use wireless network that could support many guest devices at once, deliver strong coverage from rooms to common areas, and handle bandwidth-heavy activities like streaming. Vendor Zyxel provided the Wi‑Fi infrastructure, including dual-radio unified access points, a wireless LAN controller, PoE switches, and a unified security gateway.

Zyxel and its solution partner SBit deployed NWA5123-NI access points, NXC5500 controllers, GS1910 PoE switches, and USG50 security gateways to create a centrally managed, high-capacity wireless network. The new setup supports up to 100 users per AP, offers dynamic channel selection and strong security, and was rolled out quickly with minimal disruption. Bastion Hotels reported excellent coverage, consistent bandwidth, and higher guest satisfaction, with 30 hotels and the corporate headquarters upgraded.
