Lewis Silkin, a full-service commercial law firm, needed a secure, easy-to-use wireless solution that would let visiting clients hot desk and access the internet throughout its three-floor London office, while reducing the IT and Facilities effort required to set up and remove guest connections. The previous Linksys-based setup was time-consuming to manage, had coverage issues, and relied on manual security administration.

ZyXEL, implemented by Datashare Solutions, provided 15 G4100 v2 access points, a ZyXEL ES2024 PWR Fast Ethernet switch, and thermal printers to issue time-limited access credentials. The result was near-instant guest connectivity, stronger coverage across the office, improved security through timelocked access and VLAN/IP filtering, and minimal ongoing maintenance, freeing IT and Facilities staff for more strategic work and supporting up to 100 concurrent users.
