CNC Leader’s Network a Cut Above the Competition with Zyxel Wireless Solution

MicroStep, a Slovakia-based manufacturer of CNC cutting machines and CAM software, needed a more powerful and reliable network to support modern 3D design and production methods. Its existing WiFi coverage was also insufficient across the office and production areas. MicroStep partnered with Zyxel to upgrade its network infrastructure and wireless environment.

Zyxel implemented a wireless solution built around XS3700 and XGS3700 managed switches, NXC2500 Wireless LAN Controller, and NWA5123-AC access points. The result was fast, stable WiFi across the headquarters, centralized management of up to 64 APs, and a network strong enough to support complex 3D CAD workflows and a 10G workstation environment. The upgraded setup also improved production efficiency and enabled warehouse staff to use barcode scanners for inventory tracking.
