Cleone Foods Selects Zyxel to Reach Warehouse Dead Spots and Drive Employee Efficiency

Cleone Foods, a UK food manufacturer and distributor of Jamaican patties, needed to solve wireless dead spots in its harsh warehouse environment and support a WiFi-dependent phone system for around 70 employees. The company also wanted a cost-effective, future-proof network that could support growth and digital transformation, so it turned to Zyxel and Enterprise Data Systems for a wireless upgrade.

Zyxel implemented a wireless solution using access points, switches, and controllers to deliver wall-to-wall coverage across the factory floor. The new network eliminated dead spots, improved communications and production efficiency, and cut handset replacement costs by more than half, while also creating a scalable platform for future expansion and digital initiatives such as iPad-based traceability and stock control.
