Chic Turkish Dormitory Gets a High-Tech Infusion with Zyxel’s Wired and Wireless Solutions

Melisa Girls’ Dormitory and Living Center, a fully serviced academic dormitory in Istanbul, Turkey, needed fast, secure, and stable internet access for students while also keeping the networks of its two locations separate. The customer turned to Zyxel for a wired and wireless networking solution that could support growing bandwidth demands and comply with local internet logging requirements.

Zyxel implemented a new infrastructure using GS1920 smart managed PoE switches, a ZyWALL USG310 security gateway, an NXC2500 WLAN controller, and Zyxel access points to centralize traffic, create VLANs for separate local services, and provide secure access using Turkish ID numbers. As a result, Melisa Girls’ Dormitory and Living Center gained a reliable, law-compliant network with strong security and high-speed connectivity for students.
