Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute - Customer Case Study

Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute (CPPRI), an education and research organization in India, needed to upgrade a large 48-hectare campus network to support fast optical and wireless connectivity across administrative, laboratory, and residential areas. The institute also required a secure IP-surveillance infrastructure and a scalable foundation for future services. Zyxel was selected to provide a GEPON-based networking solution.

Zyxel implemented an FTTX/GEPON network using an ONU-6100B-22, OLT-1308S-22, GS2200-8HP PoE switch, NXC5200 wireless LAN controller, and NWA5560-N managed access points. The deployment delivered end-to-end Gigabit connectivity, centralized management, seamless roaming, and secure campus-wide Wi‑Fi while reducing cabling needs and optimizing CAPEX/OPEX. Zyxel’s solution also prepared CPPRI for future smart campus applications, IPTV, building management, and IP surveillance.
