Bologna Welcome, the organization behind Bologna’s historic Palazzo Re Enzo, needed a fast, secure, flexible Wi‑Fi network that could separately manage staff and guest traffic across four event halls while meeting local regulations. Zyxel was selected to help deliver a centrally managed wireless infrastructure that would be easy to administer with limited staff and minimally invasive to the centuries-old venue.

Zyxel implemented a solution built around GS2210 managed PoE switches, WAC6100 802.11ac access points, an NXC2500 wireless LAN controller, a UAG5100 unified access gateway, and USG security gateways. The result was full Wi‑Fi coverage for the halls, clear separation between internal and public networks, flexible guest authentication options such as SMS, email, and social login, and a secure, stable environment that complied with legal and operational requirements.
