Bánki Donát High School and Technical College, an education institution in Budapest, needed to upgrade its wireless network so teachers could reliably access the new e-registry service and the Internet across multiple campus buildings. Thick walls, narrow spaces, surrounding radio interference, and the need for easy deployment during school hours made the project challenging. Vendor Zyxel proposed a wireless solution built around the ES-3124PWR Switch and NWA-3166 Business WLAN Access Points.

Zyxel implemented a centrally managed WLAN with 23 NWA-3166 access points and PoE support from the ES-3124PWR switch, enabling roaming, secure controller-managed communications, and automatic channel selection to reduce interference. The result was a stable campus-wide wireless experience that improved access to online resources for teachers and provided a scalable foundation for future expansion to students, with 24/7 wireless availability in the school buildings.
