VSiN, a sports media network, needed to automate the creation and distribution of real-time sports highlights to keep its programming timely without increasing manual editorial work. Their challenge was to generate metadata-rich clips from live streams at scale with speed and accuracy for distribution across FAST, OTT, and syndication platforms. To solve this, they turned to vendor Zype and its streaming platform and API tools.

Zype implemented an AI-driven solution using AWS Bedrock to automatically generate and map metadata for clips, which were then ingested and distributed via Zype's APIs. This resulted in a significant increase in clip output volume and a reduced time-to-publish, enabling near real-time highlight production. The solution also improved metadata accuracy for better monetization and syndication performance while eliminating manual processes.
