Regional Hospital Network improves interoperability and unifies data exchange with Zymr

A regional hospital network faced significant challenges due to a fragmented IT ecosystem with multiple disconnected EHRs and ancillary systems. This lack of interoperability created inconsistent patient data, hampered care coordination, and presented barriers to future integration of connected medical devices. To build a scalable interoperability foundation, the health system partnered with vendor Zymr to implement a modern FHIR R4-based integration platform.

Zymr designed and implemented a centralized FHIR R4 interoperability platform to unify healthcare data exchange. The solution normalized ADT, orders, and observation data across all systems, improving cross-facility clinical data visibility and streamlining workflows. As a result, the hospital network achieved seamless data exchange, enabled faster integration of new data sources, and established a strong foundation for future IoMT initiatives.
