The customer, Nimbler World, Inc., faced a significant challenge in providing consistent performance for its urban transit application, as users experienced varying response times when requesting new routes. Nimbler partnered with the vendor, Zymr, to solve this problem and build user-friendly iOS apps for multiple U.S. metro areas on a common cloud platform.

Zymr implemented a solution that included profiling, tuning, and refactoring the application to bring route response times down to a consistent 2 to 4 seconds. They developed a set of five iOS apps and a multi-tenant social SaaS cloud platform, which integrated real-time data from both public and private transportation networks. As a result, Zymr helped Nimbler scale the mobile app to 100,000 daily active users with improved UX and successfully launched the real-time transit solution across five major metro areas.
