Community Health Network cuts sepsis-related mortality by 29% with Zymr

The customer, Community Health Network, a 4,500-bed health system, faced challenges with fragmented data from thousands of connected clinical devices. This fragmentation limited real-time visibility into patient health, delayed interventions, and increased the manual monitoring burden on clinicians. To improve early detection of patient deterioration, specifically sepsis, the network partnered with vendor Zymr to implement an enterprise-scale Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) platform.

Zymr designed and deployed a centralized IoMT platform that unified device connectivity and enabled real-time telemetry data ingestion and AI-powered clinical analytics. This solution provided automated alerting and improved care coordination. The implementation by Zymr resulted in a 29% reduction in sepsis-related mortality and enabled the detection of sepsis risk nearly 19 hours earlier than previous methods.
