Transforming Procurement at a Global Electronics Manufacturing Company

Global Electronics Manufacturing Company, a USD 13 billion global designer and manufacturer of connectivity and sensor solutions with 90,000 employees and customers in 150+ countries, needed a common integrated procurement system to standardize processes, improve visibility and create a single source of truth across its global operations. Zycus was engaged to replace multiple legacy tools (Ariba, Cognos, Remedy, Excel and others) by deploying eSourcing, Spend Analysis, Contract Management and a User Sourcing Request Management Platform.

Zycus implemented a centralized sourcing and spend platform that consolidated contract repositories and automated spend extraction, classification and reporting, covering direct, indirect, P‑card and T&E spend. Results included USD 2.3+ million savings in FY'14 from analysis of USD 22.6 billion spend (Jan 2012–Oct 2014), ~20 million transactions, 889 categories and 198,558 suppliers analyzed; 750+ eSourcing events with 900 standard and 3,500 scoring users; and contract management with 11,000+ contracts migrated, 2,500 power users and 8,800 view‑only users. Zycus also drove a sustained 4% material productivity improvement, faster global roll‑out to ~1,000 users, a 10,000‑line‑item sourcing capability and improved compliance and visibility through a single contract repository.
