Multinational Pharmaceutical Company faced unreliable approval routing and extra back‑end reclassification because there was no system to automate commodity code selection and users often picked the wrong codes. To fix this, Zycus was engaged to deploy its AutoClass LiveConnect solution to classify commodity data correctly at the front end, improve policy compliance and streamline the user experience for code selection.

Zycus implemented AutoClass LiveConnect with historical-data mapping and its Business Constraints Engine (BCE) to force correct categorization of sensitive commodities, monitor compliance and ensure spend is routed to the right suppliers. The deployment processed 258,540 transactions and supported 1,200,000 requisitions since 2008, produced a 370-commodity taxonomy (211 codes changed/added/removed) with 316 commodities in the training set — delivering cleaner source-level coding, higher compliance and more reliable approvals.
