FEI Company, a world-leading producer of electron- and ion-beam microscopes with more than $800M in revenue and over $380M in annual spend, faced the challenge of rapidly introducing enterprise-wide spend management without building a large internal sourcing infrastructure. With transaction data scattered across nine ERP systems and in multiple languages, FEI turned to Zycus and implemented the Zycus Spend Analysis Solution (iAnalyze) to automate spend-data classification and accelerate its procurement transformation.

Zycus performed spend classification, supplier normalization and aggregation, delivering a consolidated spend database that FEI refreshes monthly and uses to drive compliance and sourcing decisions across its >$380M spend. The Zycus implementation removed key data obstacles, exposed off‑contract purchases and new opportunities in indirect categories, and set the stage for broader adoption of Zycus e-Sourcing and other modules to further improve sourcing efficiency and supplier management.
