Avebe brings a new level of collaboration and accountability to their procurement process with Zycus

AVEBE, a cooperative and the world's largest manufacturer of potato starch with factories in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden, faced new EU regulatory pressures and a need to deepen sustainability and cost-reduction efforts. Procurement was highly decentralized, with siloed, unstructured data in spreadsheets and SAP and little supplier‑level visibility, so AVEBE engaged Zycus to address these data and spend‑visibility challenges using Zycus’ Spend Analysis capabilities (including iAnalyze).

Zycus deployed its Spend Analysis/iAnalyze solution across AVEBE’s operations, classifying and centralizing spend and supplier‑level data on a web platform and rolling the approach out across four categories. As a result, AVEBE’s category leaders and buyers gained granular insights to build effective category strategies, create KPIs for “supplier base quality” and “product group vulnerability,” and identify savings opportunities — with Zycus-enabled areas showing greater savings where the full strategy was implemented.
