ZWCAD Helps Make Germany’s Highest Peak Accessible for Everyone

Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG (BZB), the operator of cable cars and railways to Germany's Zugspitze peak, faced challenges due to their previous CAD software's costly pivot to annual subscriptions. This created budgetary pressure and the risk of lost time retraining their diverse team. They needed an affordable, fully DWG-compatible solution that was easy to adopt for handling large engineering files for their new cable car project.

ZWSOFT, through its German partner encee CAD/CAM, provided ZWCAD Mechanical. The solution was immediately affordable, highly compatible with the existing project files, and featured a familiar, intuitive German-language interface that enabled quick adoption. As a result, the project team successfully built a new cable car system that broke three world records, and they now efficiently transport 580 passengers per hour to the summit, making Germany's highest peak accessible to all.
