Lakowa Expands Plastic Part Manufacturing with ZW3D

Lakowa, a Germany-based development partner and manufacturer specializing in plastic parts, faced a challenge with its existing development tools. The system lacked sufficient surface functions, which hindered its ability to perform complex 3D constructions. To overcome this limitation and upgrade its capabilities, the company turned to ZWSOFT and its product, ZW3D.

ZWSOFT implemented ZW3D, providing Lakowa's custom development department with 10 licenses. This all-in-one CAD/CAE/CAM solution allowed engineers to successfully fulfill challenging tasks by integrating customer tools and production techniques. As a result, ZWSOFT enabled Lakowa to significantly expand its manufacturing operations, including RIM-part manufacturing, molding, CNC machining, and assembly. An engineering director noted that data model acquisition in ZW3D improves continually as the program evolves.
