Better STEM Education with ZWCAD at a Long-Established Polish School

The customer, I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Księżnej Elżbiety w Szczecinku, a long-established Polish secondary school, sought an accessible and modern CAD solution to incorporate into its technical drawing and IT curriculum. The challenge was to equip students with practical, industry-relevant software skills to prepare them for future university studies and careers, while also finding a program that was both powerful and suitable for educational use.

The school implemented ZWCAD, a DWG-compatible CAD solution from vendor ZWSOFT, which was provided through a free licensing program. The intuitive and feature-rich software allowed students to quickly learn CAD operations and undertake complex, real-world projects. As a result, approximately half of the students in the course now pursue CAD-related majors at university, providing them with a significant competitive edge in the labor market. The success of ZWCAD also encouraged the school to invest in a new computer lab and create a more advanced course to further explore its capabilities.
