CSU-Global, a Colorado state public institution serving more than 7,000 students, needed a more efficient way to back up and restore its production systems. Before working with Zunesis, the school relied on a fragmented mix of local disk and tape-based backups, which consumed too much IT staff time and lacked centralized management. Zunesis provided a managed data backup service to simplify and centralize the process.

With Zunesis, CSU-Global implemented an off-site, agentless backup solution with compression, de-duplication, and AES 256 encryption for physical systems, VMware servers, and NAS file shares. The trial validated the restore process and led to adoption, and the result was significantly reduced backup and recovery effort, zero maintenance for the backup agents, and improved reliability and security for the university’s IT operations.
