Case Study: Emergency Assistance Foundation achieves real-time embedded analytics with Zuar

How EAF was able to ramp up grant application processing and improve internal decision making by adopting better systems

Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF), a public charity that administers disaster and hardship relief funds, faced a significant challenge with its outdated, static reporting. Their manual processes created delays, preventing them and their fund partners from accessing real-time, critical data on grant applications, especially during spikes in demand following major disasters. To solve this, EAF turned to vendor Zuar for a data solution.

Zuar implemented its Zuar Runner data staging platform to create an automated pipeline that extracted and transformed data from EAF's NetSuite system. Zuar's consulting team then built Tableau dashboards that were embedded into EAF's partner portal, providing real-time reporting. This automated, end-to-end solution provided immense benefits, including saving time and resources and improving data literacy. Most notably, it empowered EAF to award over $60 million in grants to 76,000 individuals in a single year.
