The Arc Mid-Hudson Advances Security Capabilities

The Arc Mid-Hudson is a not‑for‑profit human services organization based in Kingston, NY, supporting about 1,800 staff across 50 remote sites who provide care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As employees became more mobile and accessed sensitive client data from company and personal devices, the organization needed to secure remote access, protect PHI, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and the NY SHIELD Act.

To meet those needs The Arc Mid‑Hudson deployed the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (including Zscaler Internet Access) with a proxy‑based TLS/SSL inspection architecture and Nanolog Streaming to feed logs into its SIEM. The solution provided consistent, high‑performance protection for mobile workers, enabled deeper logging and compliance reporting, eliminated on‑premises hardware (reducing capex/opex and on‑site failure risk), and allowed faster response to security issues.
