Case Study: Schneider Electric achieves cloud transformation and secure, scalable connectivity with Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange

A Zscaler Case Study

Preview of the Schneider Electric Case Study

Schneider Electric Securing a cloud-enabled workforce of 140,000 with Zscaler

Schneider Electric, a French multinational in energy management and automation with 166,000+ employees and over 100,000 connected users in 100+ countries, undertook a global cloud-first transformation driven by early SaaS adoption (Salesforce, Microsoft 365) and IoT ambitions. The company needed to maintain positive customer and user experiences while migrating dozens of applications to the cloud, address network implications (MPLS to direct cloud), ensure consistent QoS worldwide, and tighten security and data governance across a distributed environment.

To meet those needs Schneider deployed Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange (including ZIA and Cloud Sandbox), added local internet breakouts, centralized identity and app governance, and shifted away from on-prem appliances to cloud-delivered security and monitoring. The result was scalable, secure connectivity with reduced infrastructure complexity and costs, better global service quality and SaaS usage visibility, accelerated cloud adoption and mobile/BYOD enablement, and stronger protection of critical data.
